Gemer-Malohont museum

The Gemer-Malohont museum was established on September 3, 1882. However, the beginnings of the first museum efforts in the town of Rimavská Sobota are much older. The origin of the museum is connected with the Art and Archaeological Exhibition of Gemer County, which opened on September 3, 1882, which laid the foundations of the museum and at the same time established the Association of Gemer County Museum.
