Bratislava Castle is a set of historical area buildings, which occupies the top of a hill on the southwestern promontory of the Little Carpathians ridge on the left bank of the Danube in Bratislava. The castle is dominated by a monumental building of the former royal palace forming an inseparable panorama of the capital of Slovakia. With its stand in the history of Great Moravia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and modern Slovakia, Bratislava Castle represents an important monument of socio-historical development in this area.
